"The “Youth as Guardians of the Forests” Youth Camp brings together young leaders from Cambodia and Lao PDR to strengthen their role in forest conservation and sustainable forest management. Organized under the RECOFTC-led project and supported by UNODC through funding from the Government of Canada, the camp serves as a platform for learning, exchange, and collaboration among youth forest champions. Over the course of three days, participants will engage in interactive sessions, peer learning, and practical activities focused on community forestry, forest protection, and youth-led advocacy. The camp aims to enhance participants’ knowledge of forest-related challenges, strengthen their communication and leadership skills, and support the development of impactful awareness campaigns. By fostering cross-border exchange and networking, the youth camp contributes to building a strong regional community of young forest stewards, empowering them to take action in their communities and amplify their voices in promoting sustainable and inclusive forest governance."
